How to play LUDO
Ludo is a classic board game that can be played by 2 to 4 players. Here’s a simple guide on how to play:
Objective
The goal of Ludo is to be the first player to move all four of your pieces from the starting area to your home area.
Setup
- Board: The board has a cross and circle track, divided into four colored sections (red, green, yellow, blue).
- Pieces: Each player has four pieces of the same color.
- Dice: Use a single die to determine movement.
Rules
- Starting: Each player starts with their four pieces in their respective starting area.
- Rolling the Die: Players take turns rolling the die. To move a piece out of the starting area onto the board, a player must roll a 6. If a 6 is rolled, the player can move one piece out and roll again. If not, the turn passes to the next player.
- Moving Pieces: Move your piece based on the number rolled. You can choose to move one piece the full amount or split the number between two pieces.
- Entering Home: To enter the home area, you must land on the exact number needed to reach the colored square at the center of the board.
- Capturing Pieces: If you land on a square occupied by an opponent’s piece, that piece is sent back to the starting area.
- Winning the Game: The first player to move all four of their pieces into their home area wins.
Additional Rules
- You can't move your pieces backward.
- If you roll three sixes in a row, your turn ends, and you must move any piece already on the board.
